Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many of my students are limited in their creativity by the cameras they have. Students love being able to use the camera in school to take on creative control.
We have excellent students in our school, they are determined to do great!
We have many students from diverse backgrounds and many that are not doing great economically but the persistence they have to be creative is inspirational. The students are required to own their own cameras but while in school can use the some of the schools equipment. We are very limited in our equipment and it is difficult to not have enough for the students to use.
My Project
An additional D SLR camera would be a great asset to our classroom of 32 students. I am also requesting tripods, we do not have any tripods so the students have not been able to experiment with slow shutter speed and the students they have been eager to try that. The telephoto lens I am requesting would be a great addition because we do not have any additional zoom.
Like Albert Einstein said "Imagination is more important than knowledge" and it is wonderful to see these students using their imagination.
The added supplies will be used to create beautiful and amazing photography.
