This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 20 hard working, amazing first grade students in a low income, small East Texas town. They love to work with hands-on activities, make creative art projects, play games, and learn through technology. My students do not respond as positively to worksheets or seat work activities as they do to physically manipulating skills with manipulatives or using a device.
I strive to make my classroom a fun and exciting, but also engaging learning environment for all of my students.
My Project
With these supplies, my students will be able to create and have fun in 1st grade. We need new art supplies for our classroom for crafts and stations. We will also be so motivated to have good behavior with all of the new prizes added to our treasure box! We get to go to the treasure box often, but sadly our prizes are running extremely low. We will also have a new place to sit at the front of the room on our new purple rug. These supplies will help out our classroom greatly. We really appreciate any donation given!
