Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A classroom should be a fun, collaborative, and organized environment. However, these beautiful rooms do not come fully equipped with everything students and parents may see on the first day of school. Teachers spend time during the summer months setting up their classrooms and thinking of ways to recycle materials for classroom use.

Putting students first includes setting them up in an organized environment for success!

Help us have a great year by creating a space that is productive and structured. I want my students to feel connected to and be proud of their classroom. The more comfortable and safe they feel, the more they will be active participants in their learning.

Stickers are used to motivate students to turn in homework and show their parents items that have been sent home. Plastic pockets and photo cases are a student friendly way to organize math and reading games in centers. The 30 pocket charts are great mailbox substitutes as they save space and allow each student to have their own area. Pencil cups and circular organizers will be used to store student supplies by table. The bins will help organize our classroom library and other manipulatives throughout the year.
