Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are looking to purchase a laptop so that we can make presentations and provide workshops to our parents and students. We also send home advertisement flyers for the workshops to expand communication with families. Families may also come into the building to utilize the Cozy Corner and print out diverse documentation needed for services, such as registration documents, resumes, etc.
We also provide families with packets of information and slides when attending workshops and find it useful to have folders parents can store information in when attending such workshops as the Freshmen/ New Student Orientation Workshop.
We are also looking to purchase a small refrigerator because we offer refreshments and snacks to students and families attending workshops and our Cozy Corner for various needs and counseling. We need to have a fridge to store this at a reasonable temperature.
