Getting Comfortable in Small Groups!

My students need a table to have a comfortable place to do small group reading and writing!

My Students

My students come to school because every day is a day to become a better person.

My students are 4, 5 and 6-year-olds who are very eager to learn.

Most of them come from low income families with only one parent who is struggling to hold the family together. They struggle academically, have emotional and social challenges, and many suffer from family issues that are out of their control. They live in a neighborhood where two-thirds of family household income is below the federal poverty threshold and resources are not available for them.

My Project

Have you ever tried to sit on the floor with a clipboard and keep focused on what your teacher is trying to teach you at the age of 5 and 6? My students need a comfortable area to come to for small group instruction in reading, writing, and math.

This kidney table will help them be able to focus better as well as be comfortable while learning skills they need in order to be successful in Kindergarten.

It will also help the students have better posture when it comes to writing. This table will also help me as the teacher to quickly help each student during small group instruction.
