My Project
My classroom is anything but ordinary. I never like sitting in a desk all day long, and most students now are sitting all day everyday at school and home. Step into my classroom and see a difference right off the bat. We use lamps and LED lights to create an atmosphere of comfort while working on math skills.
Each student deserves the opportunity to move and wiggle throughout the day.
The bands for the chairs will allow for movement and help keep the body in motion to entice the brain to keep flowing. Our student of the week will also be allowed an optional seat on the yoga ball, should they choose to use it that week.
As a teacher in front of the class it would be nice to have a smaller desk to teach from so that students could place their work and computer on one side, while I still maintain my side of the desk. Being able to sit or sit with them at their level would be a much needed improvement to my classroom.
