Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my students need the added language and literacy supports of audiobooks and other forms of multi-media, but having students working on diverse tasks or at their own pace is not possible in a classroom without each student having their own headset. Having a class set of headsets will allow students to have personalized instructional tasks and accommodate those with disabilities to meet their individual needs.
Providing each student a headset and microphone will open up many more opportunities for students' language development and the use of diverse methods for accessing and creating content in class and assessing growth over time.
Students will grow in the critical domains of speaking and listening and become better prepared for future success because of this grant project.
