My students need 15 basic art supplies because I am a new art teacher to this building and our supplies are old and drying out!

My Students
Retro is great for fashion but not so great for an elementary school art room! Since becoming the new art teacher at my school this year, I have the challenge and the opportunity to bring my students to the 21st century in my classroom.
Our Elementary School is a very diverse and amazing school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to inspire and teach nearly 500 students, many of which are still learning English, do not have the ideal lifestyle at home, and/or come to school for a safe place. Nearly half of our student population are on free and reduced meals. My goal as an art educator is to help them feel important and confident about themselves while they are in my classroom.
My Project
The supplies that I am requesting will be used to make new and exciting art projects in our class. Since I am a new art teacher to this school I am using old and worn out supplies and materials which can make less than desirable results for artwork. Our glue bottles are crusty and dried up, our easel falls over and our brushes are all falling apart. The students would be thrilled to see fresh new supplies with which to make amazing artwork!
My students are fortunate to receive anything at any time.
A gift like this to our classroom would bring so many smiles and make so many students feel important! We plan to make bright paintings, interesting crafts and hopefully a few gifts to give during the holidays.
More than half of students from low‑income households
