When students enter my class, it is often their very first school experience. They are boys and girls from very diverse backgrounds, with varying skills and abilities. Our classroom community welcomes all who enter to grow with us as we sing, dance, paint, share, eat and learn.
Throughout the year we have many celebrations to recognize holidays, birthdays and the wonderful accomplishments of our students.
My goal as a teacher is to expose my students to new and exciting materials and programs, in order to spark interest and creativity!
My Project
Our class gets to visit our school computer lab once per week. The children are excited for this weekly time, but want to have more time practicing the skills and activities that they learn with the computer teacher.
I am requesting a new Dell Windows laptop with a mouse for my classroom.
Each day, during center rotation time, several students will get the opportunity to log on and work on our pre-k Building Blocks online program, which reinforces basic math skills like one-to-one correspondence and shape recognition.
We will use the splitters and headphones so we can share the fun but not disturb our classmates.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
