My Students
I teach the most amazing children in the world! I teach military servicemembers' children who are full of energy and inquisitive. This unique and diverse, yet resilient, population often have unmet needs. I strive to offer them a caring, supportive, and loving educational environment that engages their minds and gives them a passion for learning that will extend beyond the walls of my classroom for a lifelong love of learning! This often requires creating experiences for my students to fill any academic gaps often found in such a highly mobile population while making learning come to life.

My Project
This national conference will offer the most research-based strategies that will light my classroom on fire! It is a one-of-a-kind experience and I will get to collaborate with other educators as they share their passion and enthusiasm for education while learning from their tips, tricks, best practices, and teacher secrets to building a successful, engaging, and rigorous classroom.
I know I will leave the conference empowered, motivated, and prepared to create dynamic lesson experiences that will challenge my students and leave them hungry for more.
I am blessed to do what I love and love what I do. Many cannot say the same in their professions. Like any career, we need to continually fine tune, polish, and equip ourselves with the best ways to meet our clients, customers, or in my case, students' needs. Through effective professional development I become more capable, competent, and confident in myself and the meaningful work I create for my students. This project will cover the cost of my conference registration, lodging, food, and transportation.
