I teach a fun, active group of 25 second graders. They love to learn and work together. In second grade, we learn a lot of new skills every day. These students are eager to learn and apply their skills every day!
My students are on a variety of levels in the classroom.
They need engaging ways to practice the skills they are missing. My students that are reading above level need engaging ways to challenge their brains!
They need new and exciting experiences to keep them engaged in our curriculum. I like to provide them with experiences that will immerse them in the learning and teach them about the world we live in.
My Project
This is going to be a very different year in Second Grade. Children will have a very different experience that is completely different than how school should be. To keep our kids safe, they will be required to stay in their seat and keep their distance from other kids. Second Graders aren't meant to sit still for the entire day. This isn't developmentally appropriate.
These wobble stools and balance chairs will help us move while still saying safe!
With these tools, the children will be able to focus on the instruction and assignments. They will be able to get their wiggles out while we aren't able to get out of our desks and move around the room!
