I need financial support to attend my dream conference at Get Your Teach On. This will include a 2-Day Admission, the GYTO EduROCKSTAR Manual, and lesson Materials!

My Students

My school serves approximately 820 students. My students are special because they are starting their first year of school and they are beginning their lifelong journey as readers, writers, and mathematicians.

My school is unique because it is so diverse!

Demographics are as follows: Caucasian 36%, African-American 32%, Hispanic 23%, Asian 6%, American Indian .6% other 2.4%. The LEP students have risen from 44-77 in just two years. Our needs continue to grow every year. However, I love my school because it is racially, ethnically, or economically diverse, more so than any other school in which I've taught. My school provides a wonderful opportunity to serve as a model for our district for how successful diverse schools can be.

With all that being said, I want to ensure my students academic, social, and emotional needs are met. With the help of a few more resources, I know that my kiddos will continue to mold a positive model for diverse schools in urban education.

My Project

I have always wanted to attend the "Get Your Teach On" conference! It is a conference led by the best teachers in the world who want to ignite and engage learners in classrooms and around the country in incredible ways.

Get Your Teach On is an exciting and engaging conference that will help me learn how to deliver research based practices WITH enthusiasm!

This conference will teach how to constantly create rigorous lessons that have high engagement and high expectations.

Through this conference, I will get a two day pass, a GYTO manual, online access to resources, and many other materials I can bring back to share with the staff of my school. I will also be presenting to my school to inspire them to use what I have learned.
