My Students
I teach in an Arts based Elementary School in Queens. My students come from ethnically diverse backgrounds which encourages my students learn about different cultures.
I am currently teaching in a Kindergarten ICT class, which means that I have some students who have special needs.
My students love nothing more than diving into a new book! In Kindergarten most students are just learning to read and therefore a variety of books is important to foster their love of reading! My students love reading Eric Carle books and Dr. Seuss books! They also love reading about animals and fiction stories!
My Project
This year my students will be a mixture of full remote and blended learning. Having an abundance of books will allow the students to take some home to read on the weeks they are not in school, while still having enough books for the kids in to school to read simultaneously. These books can also be used as read during remote instruction.
Having different varieties of books in the classroom will encourage my students to read more and more!
