Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Transitional kindergarten is changing this year, allowing students as young as 3 years old to attend. In addition, our campus is host to incoming students with special needs from a local preschool.
Fine motor skills are one of the most difficult skills for young children to learn, but it's even harder for those with special needs.
Because fine motor requires a high level of practice and repetition, it can result in frustration and tantrums. The answer is to give children activities that are fun so they don't realize that they are actually working on it!
Items like puzzles, Play-doh, lacing, balancing small items, tracing, and sorting are all excellent ways for children to use their fine motor skills while playing!
