it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are curious, energetic, inventive, brave, helpful, and persistent learners who lack some of the necessary resources in the classroom that will facilitate meeting academic goals.
Students in my class are empowered to take ownership of their learning, set goals, and consistently challenge themselves.
My students enjoy learning through technology, engaging literature, differentiated centers, and problem-based learning. I would like to thank you in advance for your gracious donation that will help shape the future of my students.
My Project
I just got funded to support literacy in the classroom, and I am now focusing on building math tools and games for small group instruction. I use Math Daily 3 in my classroom, an approach where students can practice math on their own, with a partner, and math journaling. Students need the headphones when logging into ST Math, a Spatial-Temporal digital program that deepens conceptional understanding of math.
Students need math tools to help move from concrete thinking to more abstract reasoning when solving problems.
These resources will assist with skill practice in place value, addition and subtraction, and number sense.
