My students need basic rhythm instruments. Classroom percussion instruments are the basic building blocks of the elementary music experience. Rhythm sticks, finger cymbals, and tambourines all help make the music we are creating come to life!

My Students
I work in a Title I school in North Charleston, SC. I serve children in grades CD-4. These children enjoy music class with a passion. For some of those who struggle in other areas, music class is a place to be successful.
Younger children enjoy singing silly game songs and dancing to the beat.
Older classes complete activities such as composition and improvisation to work their higher order thinking skills.
Students also enjoy playing instruments in music class! Many days, the first thing I am asked is, "are we going to play instruments today?"
My Project
Elementary music is often a child's first opportunity to create music themselves. While singing is a great way to do this, instruments are a great way to make children excited about music.
We need basic rhythm instruments.
Classroom percussion instruments are the basic building blocks of the elementary music experience. Rhythm sticks, tambourines, finger cymbals are all great ways to add to the already exciting experience of creating music. Students get beyond excited when they learn we are adding instruments to a song. Please help us be able to add the proper instrumentation! With certain instruments missing, we are never able to fully perform a song the way it is intended. Please help my students experience the opportunity to create quality music!
