My Students

My students are the best! They are eager to learn and more importantly, expecting to learn as they walk through the doors of my classroom. As second graders, they are coming to me with great foundation skills in reading, writing, and math, but I want to enhance and develop these skills into ones that will make them great members of society one day. Through this project I expect to see a continuous love of learning and flourishing abilities in reading and writing.

The dynamics of my class are vast and encompass many different backgrounds.

I hope that through these engagement tools, my students' passion for reading and writing continues to grow.

My Project

My kids love to read! They like to read on the floor, on the classroom couch, on bean bags...You name it, they read on it. I am always looking for new fun items to add to our reading nooks around the classroom. When I saw these stools, I knew that I would have to have some for my classroom. The stools and flex chairs looks like the perfect sitting place for that student who just needs to move and sit at the same time. I cannot wait for generous donors to supply these great tools for my classroom.

These stools, flex chairs, and floor cushions will allow my students to move and get their wiggles out as they read in reading groups.

Some of my students are kinesthetic learners and need to be mobile in order to learn in the best way. These stools will also keep my students excited about reading and get them to look forward to reading groups!
