This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
At our school, we are educating the whole child; academically and socially. Myself and my class of 28 English Language Learners, Special Education, and Mainstream students love learning. We come to school every day in hopes to better ourselves and our peers.
My students love to move around the classroom and engage with each other.
We love working in differentiated groups or partners to encourage communication that enhances our language skills within an environment that focuses on trust in our classroom community.

In our English Language Learning classroom, I would love to encourage communication in a safe and comfortable environment.
Having different spaces where students can be free to express their ideas and thoughts, and take charge of their learning is greatly beneficial to improving their language skills.
My project in my classroom is to improve communication between peers in the English language.
Yoga seats, wiggle seats, crate seats, and lap desks will be beneficial in helping students focus more on tasks and collaborate with one another. These items will improve the student engagement while learning the language and Common Core State Standards. This project will allow me to enhance their motivation and ability to be successful in their academic and personal goals.
