My students need a bus to get us to the University of Minnesota to have our day college campus visit!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. King's classroom raised $275

My Students
My school is a charter school located in North Minneapolis. The school serves students who receive 100% free and reduced-price lunch. Students come to school each day eager to learn and ready to work hard. I teach the 4th-grade girls class, 4th-grade math, 4th-grade science and now music! Being in an all-girls or all-boys class setting allows for classes to become tight-knit, more like a family, and our scholars form a strong sisterhood and brotherhood.
I want my scholars to leave each day feeling empowered, enabled, and engaged in their learning and their well-rounded educational experience.
My Project
My current class is over the moon to get to walk in their older sibling's shoes on our annual University of Minnesota college campus field trip. Scholars have a chance to attend a lesson in a college classroom, have a tour of hidden gems within the campus, and they even get to eat lunch in Coffman Union.
This field trip is a memory of a lifetime and it really jump starts our scholars' thoughts about what lies ahead.
They take pride in their time on the campus and in their studies that will lead them to college someday.
