Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are enthusiastic learners. They learn life-saving CPR skills, including hands-on training, as a part of their physical education class. Replenishing face shields and manikin lung bags that provide protection when giving breaths from the rescuer to the victim will help keep my students safe. Also, the knee cushions will alleviate knee pain and allow for longer practice times as it can become quite uncomfortable when kneeling for a considerable amount of time. The batteries will be used for the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) trainers and for the CPR manikins to show correct depth and rate of compression when performing CPR.
The donations to this project will help improve my students' training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Having these supplies available to them will serve to support their decision to give CPR, reinforce skills learned and help lessen anxiety about performing CPR.
