it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember the first seed you saw germinate? That is the feeling I hope that my students will get to feel, too. This is the way science should be taught, outdoors where nature is the creator.
Remember your high school days when you could change the world.
My students feel that way when they are outside in the garden. Before the taking this Environmental Science class some of the students think that carrots grow on trees. Before the class is over most of the students have started their own gardens at home.
My Project
Having the wheelbarrow will allow the students to move the compost they make to their garden area much quicker. By carrying out experiments in the school gardens the students are learning about sustainability and its importance to improving our world.
I hope you will help us to open up the doors for students and help them share in the joys of gardening.
