My Project
One of my martial arts coaches has been integrating the Blazepod training system on a regular basis in classes I participate in. I have found my use of this training tooI to be extremely beneficial to increasing my focus, my attention to detail, my reaction time, and my motivation!
These are all goals I have not only for myself but for my fourth grade students, and I would love to share the growth I have experienced myself with each of them.
I have been thinking about how to use the Blazepods in my classroom for months, and I see daily how I could use it in a variety of ways and have been wishing I had this already!
I plan to use the system in a variety of ways. In the gym, it will help increase physical abilities such as coordination and large motor skills, build bodily speed, and decrease reaction time to visual stimuli in normal P.E. lessons. All of these abilities are necessary in individual and team sports.
I will use the Blazepods in the classroom as focus tools and integrate them in my weekly self-defense lessons where kids are wrestling, boxing, kicking, and working on flexibility, cardio, and strength. There are hundreds of ways to use this system to increase physical skills, but physical skills are just part of the overall growth I have experienced and am wanting to share with my class because, after use, I feel like my brain is truly blazing!
Many of my students struggle with focus. They lack attention to details and have slow recall of math facts and slow reading decoding speeds. The struggle with tracking lessons in class, and this list could go on. I'm hopeful to get their brains a-blazing as well as their bodies! I have felt the benefits and am hopeful to share with each of them!
