Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students will be studying body systems in their new unit. Just like how our world is interconnected through so many facets, students will explore how the body systems are interconnected through many facets to keep the human machine running through the use and practice of these heart monitors. My students will explore homeostasis and the ability of the brain to communicate to the body according to its needs.

The use of these heart monitors will give students a firsthand look and play-by-play at how the body communicates, how the heart reviews and interacts with stimuli and how your blood vessels work to keep oxygen rich blood flowing to your muscles.

Other tools are clumsy and not as in depth as the the information these heart monitors will provide. The use of these heart monitors can inspire our young future nurses, EMTS, and doctors in persuing their passion for healthcare and develop their knowledge of science and medicine. Data tracking will give our future mathematicians and engineers information points to guide their critical decisions.
