I am a second year elementary teacher that has witnessed the emotional and financial hardships that are dealt to them through no fault of their own. These students work hard to achieve good grades for their satisfaction as well as the approval that they feel they need from adults that are involved in their lives. As poverty is continuous cycle, education is a great way to break that cycle that some cannot escape without some help from others.
My Project
As we all know students can be on the move all day, even when they are sleeping. Being a teacher requires innovative ways to keep students engaged while learning as well as giving them the opportunity for free movement which includes playtime.
Wobble chairs have been a great addition to my classroom for the students that need that extra movement but all students love these chairs.
These wobble chairs have been shown to increase oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. This movement also burns calories and increases metabolism.
