I have 23 students in a Title I school. My students are faced with many challenges in and out of the classroom. I may not be able to control their home lives, however I can certainly control their experience during the school day.
These books will help my students increase guided reading levels.
With books that interest them, they want to read more and more. "The more we read, The we'll know" is a famous quote by Dr. Seuss. It is so true. The more my students read, the more they will learn.
That is why it is why it is a goal of mine to make my classroom as print rich as possible. It will allow my students to gain exposure and back ground knowledge and help them to become better readers.
I try to set an example and model my love of reading. I lead by example and read with them.
Help me give my students fiction, nonfiction books and a listening center that will increase their desire to read and help increase their reading comprehension and fluency.
