Get READY..Get SET.. to Explore the Lunar New Year
Help me give my students the magic of celebrating the Chinese New Year to life by learning about traditional foods, creating crafts, and playing games, which will deepen their understanding of the holiday and sparking their curiosity.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Chinese New Year is a joyful and meaningful time—a celebration where families and communities come together to honor traditions, welcome the new year, and share wishes for prosperity and good fortune.
In our first-grade classroom, we are starting an exciting learning adventure to explore this important holiday and together, we will dive into its history, traditions, and celebrations through hands-on activities, engaging storytelling, colorful crafts, and fun interactive experiences.
This project will bring the magic of Chinese New Year to life for my young learners. From enjoying the vibrant decorations and learning about traditional foods to creating crafts and playing games, each resource will help deepen their understanding of the holiday while sparking curiosity and joy.
