At our school, our mission includes "igniting" in each of our students the passion for comprehensive literacy. One of our interventions includes using a reading fluency and comprehension program called PALS, "Peer Assisted Learning Strategies."
This research-based program is centered around students reading in pairs around the room, coaching each other in reading accuracy and comprehension.
The students enjoy these sessions and having the floor cushions for each student will make our time together so much more comfortable for them. When you are comfortable, you are eager to do your best.
