My Students
Next year, my 8th grade Civics class will be exploring the immigration issues, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the three branches of government, and the Civil Rights Movement to name a few topics.
My students are inquisitive and energetic young adults who are eager to learn more about the world they live in.
Many of them are outspoken individuals who bring with them incredible life experiences that shape their values and view the world through a very unique lens.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will all go to helping my students create interactive notebooks to help keep them organized and will help develop strong study skills for high school and college. An interactive notebook is a creative way for students to take notes, create visuals, and reflect on topics reviewed in class.
An interactive notebook requires a lot of color (colored pencils and markers), tape for taping in important hand outs, construction paper for bigger projects and various other supplies to help students create something they are proud of.
Because these supplies will be used frequently throughout the year, I like to provide me students with new materials each year as a fresh start.
