Students will not receive a planner to help keep track of assignments once they reach middle school. This is the first time for students to manage multiple teachers and classes since moving from elementary school. I will help students learn why organization matters and how utilizing a few basic tools, including an academic planner, can help them be successful as a student. As a school counselor, this year I will run small groups called "Organization Boot Camp" and meet with students to help them understand why organization matters and help them get organized for success! They will receive folders, planners, and pencil pouches too and have check ins through the year after the group ends.
