My Students

The students at my suburban elementary school represent a diverse population. Students from varying cultures, socioeconomic groups, and academic backgrounds come together in my school to learn side-by-side. I have worked with this student population for over 15 years after becoming certified to teach both general education and exceptional student education. Studying and earning my Master's in Varying Exceptionalities allowed me to continue learning how to serve students with a variety of backgrounds and needs. As the student population and academic expectations have changed over the years, I have committed to continuing my education to provide the best possible instruction for my students.

My Project

Imagine being able to access many of the top trainers in your profession all in one location at one time. This is the reality of Get Your Teach On (GYTO) National Conference 2020. Being able to register for sessions specific to first grade allows me to focus my Professional Development right where I need it: on the students in my classroom. Dynamic presentations on class transformations, exciting hands-on science demonstrations and experiments, innovative strategies and instructional techniques are all planned during a four-day conference held one hour from my house. All this content will be immediately used in my classroom to build student skills.
