This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My transitional kindergarten and kindergarten students are so much fun to teach! They are eager to learn and full of energy. I teach at a Title 1 school near Los Angeles, CA. The city I teach in is highly populated and many families live in multifamily homes. I strive to teach my students acceptance and how be be good citizens. My students are all special and unique. I have English Language Learners, students who are on the autism spectrum, and a few who have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. We focus on developing our growth mindsets throughout the year to learn perseverance, resilience and goal setting.
My students love to learn with technology and art integrated lessons!
They are more engaged when I teach them math, language arts, or any other subjects when I integrate art and technology as well. I use Visual Thinking Strategies and hands on learning throughout the day to increase student engagement.
My Project
This wireless mobile Bluetooth speaker will allow me to provide music for my students in the multipurpose room and on the yard. Music makes physical education fun and upbeat. This quality speaker can be heard in our large multipurpose room. We will be able to practice for our dance and singing performances with ease.
I will be able to incorporate music and movement into brain breaks throughout the day.
During writing time I play classical music at a low volume to to increase concentration and creativity. I love to integrate music into other subjects to increase student learning and interest.
