it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students from Oakland are made up of a diverse and unique group of scholars that are making college a reality. They come to school each day full of energy, active and focused on building themselves and others up! My students work diligently everyday to gain as much learning from inside their classroom as they do outside at PE and Recess. We know that when student exercise and play together outside, they are able to focus and learn more together inside.
My Project
All of our students have a passion for moving and love expressing themselves through play and physical activity. With enough bouncey balls, jump ropes, dodge-balls, and frisbees it will allow them to play their favorite games and build them up physically. Having more student choice at recess and PE will give students the opportunity to develop positive peer relationships.
Playing is a universal language that provides the students with a healthy outlet to show who they are.
Skipping rope and throwing balls offer more then playing for my students it gives them exercise and challenges them to continue to grow.
