Our school believes in connection, collaboration, and conceptual understanding. We use the love of books and literature to do this. We are a family that supports each other and builds each other up both academically and socially. Students are eager to do their best and then some more. I am so lucky to work at a great school with an amazing group of students.
I want to make sure they have all the supports needed to help them grow and remember the skills taught in elementary school.

My Project
Our students have been working all school year on creating and watching our garden grow. I would like to bring it to the next level and give them a calming place to ready while they watch the garden grow. Students love bringing out towels and blankets, having another option will bring a smile to their faces.
Having another place to read will help increase our literacy goal of student engagement.
Students will want to bring a book outside and read in the sun by the garden. They can see how their hard work of creating a garden pays off with an incentive of hammocks.
