My Students
As a veteran teacher at a Title I school located in a low-income/high-poverty community, I am well aware of the many challenges that my students face every day, both in and outside of the classroom. I am also aware of their enthusiasm for learning, their tremendous potential for high achievement, and their brilliant creativity. This has become even more evident over the past two months of teaching and learning from home.
My incredible music students have exceeded my expectations, remaining engaged in meaningful work, and happily showing up on time for our online class meetings.
They continue to demonstrate great pride in their work, and have even scheduled online meetings with each other to discuss and develop their creative projects.
My Project
My amazing students have been working very hard to complete the assignments I've been providing online. However, my learners would benefit greatly from me having a better quality microphone to use during our live, online meetings, and to record professional quality video tutorials for them.
This project will provide a USB microphone that I can use from home to communicate more clearly and professionally with my students while we meet online.
Once we return to my classroom, my wonderfully creative students will benefit by having a new microphone to use for recording their podcasts, original songs, poetry, narration for their video productions, and other engaging projects. The Blue Yeti microphone connects to a computer with a USB cable, which means we can use it to record from anywhere in our school.
