My Students
My students from North Carolina are enthusiastic, athletic, and always energetic when they come to school. I have been coaching and teaching for 4 years now at my school and the interest for soccer is growing. I love their willingness to learn new games and their constant drive to improve.
Without the proper equipment, my students lack an opportunity to participate in sports at a crucial age in their development.
Students have been asking for more equipment to improve their skills and get better. My students are amazing examples of what our future generation holds. No matter where they come from or what they are going through, the students on my team come to school and do the best they can do every day.
All my students deserve a unique and different sport experience. We've tried to make do with limited resources but they need materials that match their competitors and challenge them to strive for success--both on the field and off!
My Project
For the past four years as a soccer coach, we have tried to make due with limited soccer resources. We shared many soccer balls for an entire team of 17+ boys and borrowed additional supplies such as cones and pinnies from the Physical Education Department.
As head coach this year, I want to be able to provide sufficient sports supplies for my players so that they can adequately compete with other school teams with the same resources.
Our team plays with heart. Many come with no prior experience playing soccer formally. But with hard work and effort, they are continuously among the best in the league! With your support, we can continue this spirit and thrive in the upcoming season.
