Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Every school year my student's learning is impacted negatively when they get ill and spread their germs to other children in the class. Kindergarten is no longer a year children can afford to miss because of repeated frequent absences. My kindergarten children participate in a rigorous academic curriculum where they learn to read, write, add, subtract along with other subject areas, not to mention the social skills they are acquiring. Certain children also miss significant amounts of school because of allergies and asthma. I believe that having a germicidal air purifier in my classroom would greatly reduce the amount of absences children need to take. I realize that this donation would not be something that the children could use directly, but indirectly it would significantly impact their learning and overall well-being at school. This gift, if given, would be something that would keep on positively impacting the children in my class for years to come. I have done some research on air purifiers and am impressed with the Hybrid GP #153 Germicidal Air Purifier. This model is superior because it not only cleans the air of allergens, but also cleans bacteria, viruses, and mold spores as well. Thank you for reading my proposal, I hope that you can fund this because I believe it will make a big difference in the lives of the students I work with.
