German Immersion Classroom Organization Language Learning

My students need a place to bring their classroom supplies between the two classrooms and a bookshelf to organize math materials and maps in German to use in groups.

My Students

We focus on writing positive things about other people every week in German and working on service projects. This is our first year in the German Immersion program and children are self motivated learners. Our school teaches to each student on their level and we love singing and learning in German.

Our school teaches to each student and allows students to learn in higher grade levels as well as providing varied teaching for students that are below grade level.

We have two half day classes on the German side. Our school is a charter school and I work with an English speaking teacher and my students only speak German. Many students have learning disabilities and we adapt instruction to their needs. Some students are learning at or above a third grade level and are very gifted. Others are reading a bit below grade level and get one on one or group instruction. Students have half day in German instruction and half day in English. They are happy motivated learners who love being involved.

My Project

Students will use world maps in German to learn Second grade Geography skills which is part of our core curriculum. We can give each student a bin with their name so they can take materials between classrooms in a clean and organized way. A bookshelf with bins would help us organize math materials and set up the new classroom. The classroom timer would help provide a countdown for students to stay on task and complete more work.

Setting up a new program and new classroom is a difficult and lengthy process and donations make a huge difference for advanced learners and students that need more variety to learn basic concepts.

We want to have an organized room with materials for every learning level and every donation makes a huge difference for us.
