My students need more letters and Write & Wipe boards for practicing German words. We work on individual sounds and spelling and word families. We also need more Math learning tools.
Our classroom is an active German immersion classroom and we love learning Second grade math skills in German and improving reading and writing skills. Students love singing and learning in German and are active in choosing their rules and some of what they learn.

Their grammar would greatly improve with more ability to make words and have little white boards they can take with them anywhere in the classroom. We have a varied classroom and students of every skill level and socioeconomic status.
Our school focuses on allowing students to learn at their own level, including letting children in our grade learn math at higher levels. We have a great group of active parents and a supportive community for our dual immersion program.
My Project
Our German students needs hands-on tools to help them learn German reading. Their grammar would greatly improve with more ability to make words and have little white boards they can take with them anywhere in the classroom. Every week we get a new list of words which are made to help students get the support they need to learn a new grammar concept. With these boards they could make the words and practice making grammar families. They could also bring their white boards anywhere with them to help with learning. A separate learning couch station would be perfect for students to listen to German recordings or use iPads.
This donation would make a huge difference since our program is still very new.
A listening station would help students listen to German books and stories and we will use the comfy couch for that listening station or to quietly read. It will help students that need to actually manipulate letters to learn words and improve math skills. We need a lot of variation and practice and this would make it easier to involve the entire class in the process.
