My third grade students attend an inner city charter school. The school is small and feels like a family. We are going through many changes and working hard to meet our goals.
The third grade students are kind, willing to learn, and open to change.
They want to soak up knowledge and new experiences. By the time they walk into school, they have overcome the struggles of poverty, broken homes, and homelessness. Our charter school strives to meet all needs of our learners. We are a small school with big futures.
My Project
We need the basics to keep us healthy. Our room needs more Kleenex to get through cold and flu season and then spring allergies! We need disinfecting wipes to kill the germs on our desks, door handles, and shelves.
Healthy students learn best.
By having a new supply of kleenex we will be able keep cold and runny nose germs away from our friends. We need the disinfecting wipes to clean our desks and water bottles each day. Once a week we can clean all of the surfaces of our room. Have you ever checked how many germs are on a door handle to the bathroom? We need to get rid of germs!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
