Help me give my students these craft popsicle sticks and the Elmer's glue.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Judy's classroom raised $204
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at our school come ready to learn even though they often face many hurdles in their daily lives and in attending school. Almost all of the students at my school qualify for free or reduced-price lunch but they come to school wanting their education.
My Project
Geometry students will use the knowledge they have gained about congruent triangles to build wooden bridges out of just 200 craft popsicle sticks and Elmer's glue. The bridges will have to be at least 12 inches long and must hold at least 40 pounds weight for at least 1 minute.
Some projects in the past have withstood over 120 pounds!
The students are currently on a hybrid schedule so many of the students will be building their bridges at home while some will construct their projects at the school building.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
