This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Most of my students are challenged due to the lack of resources like computers. They need efficient tools in order to succeed.
Most of my students come from low income families and can't afford to buy the needed tools.
I find many of my students who are now more interested in math because of the visuals I present to them.
My Project
Teaching Algebra and Geometry requires advanced technology in order for students to effectively visualize concepts such as transformation of figures and 3D polygons. Unfortunately, the available technology provided to teachers can only do so much to find meaningful ways of teaching. One way this can be facilitated is through the use of effective technology.
With this Macbook, I can be more creative to teach challenging lessons to my students.
The functions and resources I can access through this technology will surely impact my students' interest and eagerness to learn algebra and geometry.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
