My students need plastic 3-D geometry shapes, a set of tangrams, and pattern-block activity cards.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are in the second grade at a high-poverty school. My class is in need of math manipulatives and supplies to help us learn geometry.
Our school is located in a high-need community with many refugees and second language students. Our current campus is very old and teachers are often using the materials that we can find. These materials include math manipulatives. Budget cuts have not allowed us to provide new manipulatives or complete sets of math materials in the classrooms.
My classroom has very few math manipulatives. A big standard in elementary math is geometry. We learn about 3-D shapes, properties of shapes and how shapes can move. However, I do not have any 3-D shapes to display or teach with and the students do not have any sets of shapes to conduct experiments with. This makes it very difficult for students to get a complete grasp of the concepts taught.
Your donations will let my students know that they haven't been forgotten! With this donation, you can provide my students,(and many students to come) with the proper math manipulatives that they need to succeed and compete with more-fortunate schools on standardized tests.
