My Project
Students in Art class at all levels practice drawing shapes. Part of this task is to include the shading and gradations - looking at how the light hits each piece and including shadows in the drawing. These shapes would allow for actual examples students could view during the task.
Geometric shapes have another use in our school setting as well.
Geometric shapes are covered in Math class at many grade levels. These shapes are larger in size so are easier to handle for the younger students when they are identifying similarities and differences. These objects would also be excellent for our upper elementary students as well as for our students who have addditional needs to help in solidifying angles and shape names.
