This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These requested resources will enhance the learning experience of my 5th grade students in geography/social students while fostering cultural exposure and making meaningful connections. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and are eager to learn about new places and cultures. Additionally these resources will help create a more inclusive and enriching educational environment.

The primary goal of this project is to provide 5th graders with an enriched understanding of geography.

To go beyond traditional classroom materials to make learning a dynamic and engaging experience. By incorporating hands-on activities and interactive resources, we intend to spark curiosity and a love for exploring the world.

I believe that exposure to diverse cultures is an essential aspect of education. This project seeks to introduce students to various cultures, traditions, and customs from around the globe. Through this exposure, we hope to instill a sense of appreciation for diversity and promote a global perspective.

One of the key objectives is to help students make connections between what they learn in the classroom and the real world. We want to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application by providing tools and materials that facilitate active learning and critical thinking.

Large, detailed, and interactive maps will serve as valuable visual aids, allowing students to explore different regions, countries, and landmarks.

Globes provide a three-dimensional representation of the Earth, offering a tactile and immersive experience for students to understand geographical concepts.

Board games and educational kits focused on geography will make learning enjoyable while reinforcing key concepts in a fun and interactive way.
