My Students

My students are a sweet group of first graders who come from many different countries including Africa, Palestine, Iraq, Brazil, Vietnam, China, Japan, the Congo, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Cote D'A'Ivoire, Lebanon, Spain, Peru and the Dominican Republic.
They are an excited and eager bunch! A portion of my students qualify for refugee status and coming to America has been exciting and overwhelming as they adapt and learn the language and customs. Many are first generation English speakers.
My Project
My students come from various places around the globe, including Vietnam, Venezuela, Peru, Africa, and Iraq. Many of my students are first-generation English speakers.
My students need the Osmo Detective Agency to encourage critical thinking skills and to work with others to help problem solve and investigate different places in the world.
Osmo Detective Agency will encourage cooperative learning and will encourage team building and language skills among my students. It will also provide an opportunity for my students who are limited English speaking to develop the confidence and take risks with new language and terms that they are learning.
