Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sixth grade Social Studies is an important transitional class in the sense that it's the first time students will be tasked with learning about the humanities in a very focused way. We will cover Geography, Economics, History and Civics over the course of the school year. The puzzles and maps in this project will help me to establish and maintain a strong foundation in reading and understanding maps. The maps will hang year round and the puzzles will be used as extension activities for students who finish early. The other items will help me to organize my classroom in a way that maximizes learning. The class set of headphones will also ensure that every student can participate on days when learning happens individually. Your support will go a long way, thanks in advance!
