This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help my library become the place children consider their safe haven! As much as I wish I could get my kids to pick up a book and start reading off the bat, it's going to take a bit more persuading to get that done. The plan is to have my 400+ students associate the library with their happy place.

I want to provide stimulating games such as Battleship, Chess, checkers, and fun puzzles and that is where you as the donor step in!

I need help funding this idea as I am still a graduate student with limited funds. The goal is to have kids WANT to come into the library and eventually, fingers crossed, they'll look up at a shelf and pick up a book!
