Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am the teacher of a very curious group of students. They attend a school that is classified as a Title I facility. All of them qualify for the free lunch program. The community they live in is stricken with a high level of poverty.
Despite these circumstances, they are so eager to please and be productive leaders.
They work so hard and come in each morning with warm greetings and huge smiles, which makes me look forward to each day.
My Project
The crayons, paints, and adhesives that I am requesting will be used for my GT students who are working on their own passion projects. They research some ideas and create a project that they feel passionate about. I have students from 1st to 5th Grade. They have begun their research and have started a supply list. The list that I created is directly from their request.
I believe seeing their projects come together will make them happy.
