This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials requested will be used to help students learn about genetic diseases and how they are passed from parent to offspring.

My 7th grade science class are currently learning about genetic diseases and my hope is for them to have a deep understanding about the ways genetic diseases can be carries, how some are dormant, internal while others can be seen in the physical traits of certain individuals.

My students are part of a dual language school where Science is taught primarily in Spanish. This project will aid my native English speakers and those whose learning style is more visual than others.
