This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love to provide my students with gender-inclusive, personalized backpacks for boys and totes for girls, along with a variety of patches for them to customize for the beginning of the year. Some students don't have the means to buy a bag for their school supplies, so I want to give the students the materials they need. This would foster a sense of ownership, creativity, and individuality, encouraging students to express themselves and take pride in their belongings.

By equipping students with these personalized items, we aim to enhance their organizational skills and boost their confidence as they navigate their academic journey.

Having the essential tools to carry their books gives them a sense of belonging. Personalized items allow students to express themselves, increasing self-confidence and pride in their belongings.
